Dany Sanford PREMIER Center is a multipurpose arena that is home to some of hte best sporting events, concerts, conventions, banquets, and other special events. 

The venue has room enough for up to 12,000 spectators for concerts spread across a four level facility. And these levels are further divided with 22 suites and 18 loge boxes.

The venue is attached to an existing convention center and arena and holds the record for being the largest venue between Omaha and Fargo, and between Minneapolis tp Denver. It’s simply a wonder of design that keeps fans coming back for more each time they open their doors for an opening night!

The Technical Magic

Part of the magic of the venue comes from its technical audio and lighting systems. THe Center features an integrated LED video display system that was designed and manufactured by Brookings, SD-based Daktronics. This system enhances the fan experience with crystal clear video that keeps you in the action even if you’re in the furthest seats from the action. And this effect is further enhanced with LED lights that deliver better lighting than traditional incandescent bulbs.

And let’s not forget the carefully planned sound systems and acoustics that give you and thousands of other fans sharp sound from all points in the crowd. You won’t miss out on anything!

Big Events at the Arena

The following are some of the biggest events that have come to Denny Sanford PREMIER center.

  • The First Concert came on October 3, 2014 and featured Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Starship featuring Mickey Thomas.
  • The center hosted the Professional Bull Riders on April 7, 2019
  • Slipknot played with special guests Korn as part of the “Prepare for Hell” tour on November 9, 2014.
  • The arena hosts the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hcokey League and the Sioux Falls Storm of the Indoor Football League
  • The venue hosts the Summit League men’s and women’s basketball tournaments every year in March. The winners receives automatic berth in the NCAA Division I men’s and women’s tournaments.
